- Who decides the recall interval?
- The treating dentist, based on each patient's needs. The interval column is per patient; the default here is only a placeholder for rows where you leave it blank. This tool does the date arithmetic and makes the follow-up list; it is not clinical advice.
- Is patient data uploaded?
- No. Everything is calculated by JavaScript in this browser tab and nothing is saved or sent. Even so, paste only what you need (file number, first name, mobile), never clinical details, and close the tab when you finish. See the privacy page.
- How is the due date calculated?
- Last visit plus the recall interval in months, the same as Excel's EDATE. A visit on 31 August with a 6-month interval is due on 28 or 29 February. Patients past the due date are OVERDUE; patients due within your 'due soon' window are DUE SOON.
- Does the WhatsApp link send the message?
- No. It opens WhatsApp with the message ready for you to check and send yourself. Only message patients who agreed to be contacted, and stop if they ask.
- What does the calendar export do?
- It downloads an .ics file with one all-day reminder per patient on their due date, labelled with the file number only, which you can import into Google Calendar or Outlook.
