Streak is a well-known CRM that lives inside Gmail. If what you mostly want is a list of clients that keeps itself up to date from Gmail (when you last emailed each person, who owes whom a reply, who has gone quiet) you may not need a full CRM. FollowSheet does that inside an ordinary Google Sheet that you own.
Make a copy (free)
When you first open FollowSheet › Open panel in your copy, Google shows "Google hasn't verified this app" because the script is your own private copy. Click Advanced › Go to FollowSheet (unsafe), review the permissions and click Allow. Prefer files? Install from the template and script.
What Streak's plans include (from streak.com/pricing)
We checked Streak's pricing page on 3 October 2026. Prices change, so check it yourself before deciding.
- Free plan: email tools inside Gmail (email and link tracking, snippets, mail merge up to 50 a day, thread splitter). Streak's own FAQ says the free plan does not include CRM pipelines.
- Streak's paid plans: Pro $49, Pro+ $69 and Enterprise $129 per user per month billed annually, or $59, $89 and $159 billed monthly. Each user on a team is a paid seat. Streak offers a 14-day trial of Pro+.
- Paid plans include a lot FollowSheet does not have: shared pipelines, mail merge with follow-ups, mobile apps, contact enrichment, integrations, automations, reporting and AI features.

Example at list prices: one person for a year is $59 on FollowSheet Pro yearly, or $588 on Streak Pro billed annually ($49 × 12). Taxes are not included and either company may change its prices.
When FollowSheet is the better fit
- You are a freelancer, consultant, agent or recruiter with tens to a few thousand contacts, and you already think in spreadsheets.
- You want follow-ups to stop slipping, not a new app to learn.
- You want your client list to stay in a file you own, which you can sort, filter, share or export like any sheet.
- You don't want to pay per seat for people who only need their own daily list (Team covers 5 Google accounts for $149/year).
When Streak (or another full CRM) is the better fit
- You need email open tracking, mail merge sequences or a CRM sidebar inside Gmail.
- Your team works shared pipelines all day and needs permissions, reporting, integrations or mobile apps.
- You want a vendor-hosted product with live support rather than a script in your own account.
How FollowSheet works
- Make a copy of the template (or install from the files). Each row is a contact or deal; the email address links it to Gmail.
- FollowSheet › Sync Gmail now fills in Last contacted, Last from (Them/Me), Last subject and a link to the thread. Drafts are ignored and your aliases are recognised.
- A plain formula sets the Status: Needs reply, Overdue, Due today, Gone cold (after 21 quiet days, adjustable) or Closed. The Today tab lists who needs you.
- On Pro, daily autopilot syncs every morning, sets the next follow-up 3 days after you email someone, captures new leads from a Gmail label and emails you the list.
