UAE e-invoicing needs data that most invoices do not carry today: the seller's TIN as an electronic address, the fixed identifier 0235, an 8-flag transaction type code, trade-licence type codes, unit-of-measure codes and, for tax invoices, line VAT in AED. Export a few invoices from your accounting system (CSV) or drop in a UBL / PINT AE XML, and this page shows which of the official mandatory fields you already have, which are missing and which look wrong.

Closing the gaps: the UAE e-Invoicing Readiness Kit
Most gaps are master-data work: TINs and trade-licence numbers for every customer, unit codes for every item, transaction-type flags per invoice type. Our UAE e-Invoicing Readiness Kit (Excel workbook, 4-page guide and a service-provider RFQ template) turns this gap report into a project plan with owners and dates, built from the Ministry of Finance documents listed below.

FAQ
- Where does the field list come from?
- From the UAE Ministry of Finance document "UAE Electronic Invoice Mandatory Fields", version 1.0 dated 23 February 2026: section 4.1 lists 51 fields for an electronic tax invoice and section 4.2 lists 49 fields for a commercial electronic invoice.
- Does a full score mean my invoices are compliant?
- No. This page checks whether the fields exist and runs a few simple format checks. The real e-invoice is a PINT AE XML that your Accredited Service Provider builds and validates against the full technical rules. Use this to find gaps in your data early. It is not legal or tax advice.
- Is my invoice data uploaded?
- No. The file is read by JavaScript in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to us or stored. See the privacy page.
- My accounting software uses different column names. Will it still work?
- Columns are matched by common names (for example "Customer TRN", "VAT Rate", "Due Date"). Open Column matching after a check to fix any column that was matched wrongly, and the report updates straight away.
- When do UAE businesses have to start e-invoicing?
- Under Ministerial Decision No. 244 of 2025 as amended by Ministerial Decision No. 66 of 2026: businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027; businesses below AED 50 million by 31 March 2027, going live on 1 July 2027. Check the Ministry of Finance e-invoicing page for the current dates.
