How to use it on site
- Type the project once. Next time, pick it from the list and the client, contractor and next report number fill in.
- Add manpower by trade. Copy manpower from my last report saves retyping when the crew is the same.
- Write one line per activity in Work done. Add delays with a cause and hours lost; they are totalled in the PDF.
- Take photos as you walk round. Add a caption under each.
- Tap Share PDF and pick the client's WhatsApp group or your email app.
FAQ
- Are my reports or photos uploaded anywhere?
- No. The form, the PDF and the photos are handled by JavaScript in your browser. Project details and the text of past reports are saved in this browser's local storage so you can reuse them; photos are not saved and are gone when you close the page. Clearing your browser data deletes the history, so keep the PDFs you send. See the privacy page.
- How do I send the PDF on WhatsApp?
- On a phone, tap Share PDF and pick WhatsApp (or Gmail, Outlook, Teams). If your browser cannot share files, the PDF downloads instead and you can attach it from your Downloads folder. Copy WhatsApp summary gives you a short text version too.
- Is the Arabic correct?
- The fixed labels (Manpower, Work done, Delays and so on) are shown in English and Arabic. Your own entries appear exactly as you type them, in English or Arabic. If a label should be worded differently on your sites, email us and we will change it.
- What does Pro add?
- Unlimited reports (Free is 5 new reports per calendar month on this device), your company logo on the PDF, no Karuna Labs line in the footer, and a CSV export of your report history for monthly progress summaries.
- Can several engineers share one project log?
- Not yet. There is no server, so each phone keeps its own history. Most teams send the PDF to one WhatsApp group or email thread, which becomes the shared record.
- Does it replace the consultant's official format?
- Some contracts specify a report format. Use this where the format is up to you, or attach it as supporting detail. Times and photo stamps come from your phone's clock.
