What the parts mean
The 5-digit bank clearing number (IID) is followed by the 12-character account number.

Paying an IBAN in Switzerland
For SEPA payments involving countries outside the EEA, banks normally require the BIC as well as the IBAN.
Writing the IBAN in groups of four (CH68 1234 …) is the usual print format; online banking and payment files use it without spaces.
