What the parts mean
The 8-digit numer rozliczeniowy identifies the bank and branch; the remaining 16 digits are the account number. In Poland the same 26 digits (without "PL") are the NRB account number.

Paying an IBAN in Poland
Within the EEA, SEPA payments need only the IBAN; the BIC is optional.
Writing the IBAN in groups of four (PL04 1234 …) is the usual print format; online banking and payment files use it without spaces.
