What the parts mean
The BBAN is the French RIB: code banque (5 digits), code guichet (5), numéro de compte (11 characters) and the 2-digit clé RIB.

Paying an IBAN in France
Within the EEA, SEPA payments need only the IBAN; the BIC is optional. Accounts are usually in euro.
Writing the IBAN in groups of four (FR48 1234 …) is the usual print format; online banking and payment files use it without spaces.
