What the parts mean
The first 2 digits identify the bank; the remaining 18 characters are the account number.

Paying an IBAN in Saudi Arabia
For international transfers your bank will usually ask for the BIC/SWIFT code of the receiving bank too.
Tip for GCC businesses: if you pay staff or suppliers in bulk, keep IBANs in a spreadsheet and validate the whole column before uploading a payment file.
Writing the IBAN in groups of four (SA26 1234 …) is the usual print format; online banking and payment files use it without spaces.
