What the parts mean
The 4 letters identify the bank (from its BIC), followed by a 4-digit branch code and an 18-character account number.

Paying an IBAN in Jordan
For international transfers your bank will usually ask for the BIC/SWIFT code of the receiving bank too.
Writing the IBAN in groups of four (JO26 ABCD …) is the usual print format; online banking and payment files use it without spaces.
